How early do you send out bday invites for family?

My sons 1st birthday party is November 24th. We’re having an all family party, but some of them love 2-3 hours away. How early should I send invites?

I usually give my family a heads up phone call when we pick a date, but don’t typically send out invitations until 2 or 3 weeks before. If I get an invitation further out then that it will most likely get lost or forgotten at our house 🤷🏻‍♀️
