Does anyone else feel insecure and inadequate as a parent in this generation?

I get that a lot and I mean a lot of the advice and health warnings on things are out for a reason, lots of babies can and have gotten sick/passed away from clearly not great products or maybe parental ignorance but almost everything these days is like a health risk for babies, even simple things like what you bathe them in, how you wash their clothes, how many times you wash the clothes, what you use to sterilise, how you sterilise, how many times in a row you do it and even the use of baby wipes, nappies, formula, etc. Just so much anxiety that comes with everything for a baby it’s unreal. Going back 30 or so years my parents would stick us in a chest of draws to sleep with blankets, lay us straight on the carpet, keep clothes on us if it had just a bit of puke on it, you name it, it’s all just manic these days. Maybe for good reason but also maybe not? Almost everyone I know my age was brought up the same, no illnesses, no deaths? Maybe it’s just me but feels over the top sometimes for parents in this generation
