Sex after baby?

Just curious as to how long you waited to have intercourse after you had your baby? My doctor said it’s up to my comfort and when I am ready to try again. 6 weeks is recommended of course by most physicians and every online thing you can read.With my first we had to wait 9 weeks cause I tore so bad. This time I had no issues and am no longer bleeding or anything.

I am aware of the possibility of infection and what not, and I have looked into it a lot. I’m just wondering what others experience was.
