First holiday with Bub

I’m due early Nov and me and my fiancé are looking at possibly (seeing how things go with Bub) going our first holiday March next yr which would make him 4 months old.

Has anyone taken their baby on their first holiday around that age? I’ve heard it’s better to go while they’re still tiny instead of when they can walk and cause chaos.

Also, any destination recommendations? We’re in Australia but looking at going overseas 🏝
