Hey ladies! USAF here...

Question on pregnancy in the military for our Active Duty ladies out there. I am currently in the TWW with my long distance boyfriend. (More details on that would get you another post in another thread) 😂

I’ve read the AFI on Early Separation for pregnancy. Would I be approved, just like that? To just... separate? And how is it, transitioning from your AF OB to a civilian OB mid-pregnancy (AF only provides care on a Space-A basis if you elect to leave the AF)? How long is the entire process of separating?

I’ve *heard* you have to let your commander know within 2 weeks, but I would rather not say until around the 12 week point (for the baby to stick).

Any tips for separating and having a huge financial burden would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
