I had my daughter August 13th bled for a while and now it’s back bright red, is it possible this is a period already?

It is possible. However, I had the same back and forth bleeding for 4 1/2 weeks. If I lift anything heavier than my son, I start to spot and bleed again. I’m 5 1/2 weeks postpartum too. I haven’t had a period yet and I’m exclusively breast feeding.

How long did the bleeding stop for? It could still be PP bleeding sometimes it will stop for a few days then comes back. It can take the 4-6 weeks to completely go away

Any bleeding before 6 weeks PP is considered lochia.
