A freshman dating a senior?

So Im a freshman girl (15) and i like this guy who is a senior (17) but he looks a lot younger than he is and well 9hrs not the kind of guy everyone assumes to be like a Fuck boy. He generally cares about me and well I really like him.. Dont hate just need advice..

Im going to say no just because of the differences in maturity from a freshman and senior. And yes i know a lot of people like to say theyre mature for their age, but when you’re young age gaps are more noticeable than as you get older. Youre barely coming out of middle school since you’re a freshman and hes in his last year of high school. He’s experienced more and he might expect more from you for that reason.

I would say no to doing this because he is probably more sexually experienced and more mature than you just because of the age difference. The levels of maturity (usually) increase during high school. And once he leave high school next year and goes to college, he probably will want to explore options with people he sees more often like on campus or just around his own age.

My boyfriend is two years older than me. I'm 17 and he's 19 we met when I was a Sophomore (15)  and he was a Senior (17)  its been almost two years and we are still happily together and our relationship has been through the ringer because of his job and we are currently long distance and still going strong. I am more of age is a number not a mentality. All relationships are different you can't base the probability of your relationship on our experiences because we are different people but as long as you guys are willing to work out the issues as they come along and have a serious discussion about what you want from the relationship go for it!

I got with my boyfriend while I was a freshman and 15 and he was a senior and 17. Going on 5 years strong and we have 3 babies 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s not as weird as people think. But be sure that both of your guys’s families are okay with it also.

It's not super weird. My fiance was a senior when I was a freshman but we didn't date in high school. I feel like we probably wouldn't have lasted if we did. I still wasn't mature enough for a real relationship and he would have graduated and I doubt we would have stayed together while he went away and joined the military. Sometimes I wish we started dating then so I could have skipped all the bad relationships I was in but realistically I dont think it would have lasted

Do what makes you happy. As a freshman I dated senior, and we’ve lasted for years now. You’re going to get backlash, but ignore it. You should always do what you feel is right. Also, in certain states that have laws on age gaps stating that if there can be a gap as big as four years between a minor and someone that is not as long as it’s not exceeding a certain age. You should look into that for your state and do what makes you happy love.
