No period after first month on depo shot?

Hey everyone, 
   I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced no period after your first depo shot. I got my shot on the 29th of July and I didn’t get my period for the month of August. Should I be concerned? 
Any info will help! Thanks!

Although it’s supposed to stop after your second or third shot, it can happen during your first. I wouldn’t be worried at all.

As long as u waited for depo to be effective, then there’s nothing to worry about. Progestin only methods like depo are most known for causing irregular bleeding patterns. That can include longer time frames with or without bleeding, random bleeding, or frequent bleeding, at any given time. And, such irregular bleeding is especially common during the first 3-6 months.
