Im at the er for nausea and they offered me zofran, have any of you mommas took zofran and had birth defects?

If risks we that high they wouldn't allow pregnant women to take it as often as they do.

I took Zofran twice a day every day from when I was 6 weeks until I was 16 weeks & my baby didn’t have any birth defects! I wouldn’t have survived without it

I waited until the end of second trimester to start taking it because I was worried.

After research I personally chose not to take it but I know it is prescribed often and it seems like a lot of people use it 🤷🏻‍♀️ if you are concerned discuss it with your OB. They can give you other options as well.

There are other options for pregnant mamas, such as phenegran and reglan. Studies show that the chance of Zofran related birth defects drops drastically after 10 weeks as well. 
I’ve been on a Zofran pump continuously infusing Zofran since 11 weeks and I’m 19 weeks now, and my anatomy scan hasn’t shown anything abnormal
