NEW DOG ADVICE?!?!

Question

How long would you advise we wait until getting a new dog? Our dogs passed away a few weeks ago under bad circumstances. My partner works away and its so quiet here at home, just me and the baby. I think I would love to have a new dog (it doesntvmean I'm not still upset about our last pooches)  but I know we will get hastle from family members for not waiting for a long time etc. What are you guys thoughts?

Its nobody's business but your own when you get a pet. If you want one then go for it

Honestly until you feel ready. It is so hard to lose a pet and they are impossible to replace, but having one can be so good for your emotional health and all of the dogs I’ve ever had have been so good about knowing when I’m sad and making me feel better. Sometimes that love is super helpful in helping you move on from the sadness of loss.

When we had to put down our oldie Chloe, I couldn't stand the thought of having another dog in the house for months. We only had her for eight months (senior rescue) but I was devastated when we had to let her go.
My husband asked and asked to get another senior and I said no. But after six months I saw this most beautiful boy up for adoption, we went and made sure our other doggies got along with him and one week later, Syndey was part of our family. He luckily isn't as old as Chloe was and we've had him for a year and a half now.
But I think once our Mandy passes, it will take much longer for me to open up my heart again. She's 10 now and we've had her since she was six weeks old.
