Scared of storms

Any of your LOs scared of storms? As the summer has passed, he’s getting worse. Tonight I was grocery shopping and he was at his grandparents and it started storming. My poor guy was hyper ventilating and inconsolable. If it happens at night he has to sleep with us. Any suggestions on what to do to help??
