Has anyone else ever been to the Dentist while pregnant? I was up all night with a terrible tooth ache and decided to make an appt for the dentist. (I hate the dentist). I let them know I was about 12 weeks pregnant and they had me call my OB to have them fax over paperwork saying it was ok to be seen and get X-rays if need be. But my question is.. can they do anything anyways other than a cleaning? I mean if I'm in this much pain I'm lost likely going to need a filling, extraction, or root canal.. so will I have to wait until after baby is here to get a procedure done? I've never had a cavity or anything before but I've also not been to a dentist in about 5 years.
