NHS only!!! Can the NHS give me pain relief?

I'm 35 weeks and in agony with a breech baby. Paracetamol isn't doing anything. Can the maternity unit give me anything stronger?? I'm getting worse by the day and can't work anymore, struggling to care for my toddler.

You can get codeine and stronger meds from Tesco pharmacy! It's so much cheaper for the NHS if you do that :)

Yea they can give something stronger. I was given codeine (I think) when I had painful hips at about 38 weeks during my last pregnancy. See your midwife/GP x

I’m not sure what they can give but it’s definitely worth contacting your doctor/midwife or the day unit to talk to them about how bad things are and to get their advice. Hope you can sort something.
