I've been at my job for eight years. I do excellent work and put in lots of extra hours. Sometimes I'm late, between 2-5 minutes usually, and if it's closer to five minutes, I call to let them know.

As of last week my boss implemented a new policy (without telling us) that for the three of us who are late the most often, if we come in late we will be sent home for the day without pay.

This morning my navigation showed that I might be one minute late. I called to let them know, but when I arrived, I was sent home. I casually mentioned that there were two other people coming in at the same time, but since they're not part of the watch list, nothing happened to them.
