UTI and spotting?

I have a UTI. I got antibiotics for it today but before I got them I spotted a little bit, it was brown and light pink. Yesterday I spotted light pink as well. Both times were only once when I wiped and that was it. I was supposed to start my period yesterday but I see no signs of it coming. Is this normal? Is this a pregnancy thing? Please help.
