So I get on Facebook today and there is an invitation for a house warming party, nothing out of the ordinary there, sounds fun right?? I continue reading the invite and in the description there's a line that says something along the lines gifts not being expected, but welcomed and that they're not sure on their style yet so to just stick to gift cards..... I don't know. I could see if this was maybe their first home or something, but they've been living together for a long time and this is the third place they've lived as a couple/family - this is special because it's the first house they've bought ... but still. Am I totally out of the loop or is this as tacky as I think it is??

Anonymously because who knows who uses this app and I don't mean to offend anyone. Just truly curious is people really do this on the reg.
