The bridesmaid pt.12

Summer held the note to her chest & started to sob. She kept her hand over her mouth as she softly cried out for Tony. Everything he said in his note was right. It would be wrong for her to leave her family, but she was dreading having to face reality. She was already missing his touch, his face & his presence.

She soon went back to the other hotel room where the other bridesmaids were to pack up her belongings. They noticed she was unusually quiet.

Lauren: Hey girl, everything ok?

Summer: I’m just... a little tired. That’s all.

Lauren: Come on Sum, we’ve been friends since elementary, I think I know when something is bothering my bestie.

Summer took the note out from her jeans pocket & handed it to Lauren to read.

Lauren: Oh sum... You just miss him that’s all.

Summer: I wanted for us to be together. I really love him, Lauren & now he’s gone.

Lauren hugged Summer & let her cry on her shoulder.

All the bridesmaids were now parting ways & before she knew it, Summer was on an airplane heading back home. She missed her daughter, but she was also missing Tony. She couldn’t stop thinking about him the whole plane ride. She kept getting flashbacks & was daydreaming about their night together. She missed him so much. She had no way of contacting him. He had no social media & didn’t even own a smart phone. She knew he lived a simple life in the country & loved the solitude of living on a ranch, but that was it.

Every time she closed her eyes, her mind would bring her back to that hotel room where they shared an intimate night together. She could still feel his hands caressing & kissing her body. She opened her eyes to the harshness of her reality.

Captain: Hello folks, thanks for traveling with us today. Forecast is sunshine with several clouds as we descend & land in about 10 minutes.

Summer’s heart was aching for Tony. A piece of her heart was missing & was on it’s way back to Texas.
