Most people never get passed it. They’ll either try to get even or constantly be paranoid and that’ll cause a toxic environment even if the couple doesn’t argue, that’s something you’ll have bottled up and it won’t go away like a broken heart. It’ll end up hurting more and more until you find yourself having mental breakdowns and can’t figure out why

Only if the person who committed the adultery actually grows and knows that the reason they did it is because of self-sabotage.  And if the other person has the forgiveness and wisdom to realise their partner was really just afraid to have the good things life can offer them. Some people are so conditioned by their past they mess up their present and future thinking that’s all they’ve ever known, so it’s all they’ll ever have.

Never. It shouldn't. Relationships should be based on mutual love and respect. If you cheat you very clearly don't love or respect your partner. To fix it would mean to settle for less than you deserve...which many people sadly do.

I think it can... But it would require lots of hard work and both parties would have to want to make it work. Hopefully I never have to find out.
