When do they stop doing TV U/S and start with abdominal?

My doc tries the abdomen first, then switches if he can't see what he needs to.

My first ultrasound was at 7w5d and they saw everything they needed, including the fact that I'm having twins, and saw their heart rates, using abdominal only. I'll have another tomorrow with my OB. I'm curious what they will do. The first was with my fertility doctor.

I had my first abdominal at 10 weeks, the nurse could have done it at the 9 week one but I'd just been for a wee. The transvaginal are always much clearer.

I had an ultrasound done at five weeks and five days and could see the sac clearly.. But for better results transvag us.. I go later this week and we always start outside and go in only if its a need to thing.. So I could let you know
