Measles exposure quarrentine

I got a call from the health department yesterday saying that apparently I was exposed to measles at my doctor's office on Wednesday.

Even though I was vaccinated as a baby, my bloodwork is showing that I am no longer immune.

The vaccine is not safe for pregnancy, so we had to choose between a 5 hour infusion of the antibody at the hospital, or a 21 day quarrentine. After much prayer and several long discussions with the doctors, we decided on the quarrentine. Looks like I am stuck at home until October 2nd, and already going stir crazy!

To top it all off, my 11 year old has a tooth abscess and I will not be able to go with him when my husband takes him to the dentist, and I have something going on with my eye that I am not sure how they will treat without seeing me in person.

The good news is that otherwise I feel really good, and don't have any symptoms of measles or anything. I am a homeschool mom, so thankfully we are not losing income due to this. I understand they need to exercise and abundance of caution, and am so thankful that God is in control and will get us over this hump!
