What does round ligament pain feel like?

I’ve been experiencing a lot more pain during this pregnancy than with my first, but it’s always intermittent and goes away throughout the day. It’s gotten worse in the last few weeks and I’m almost 20 weeks now. It happens maybe 3-5 times a day and feels like intense pain and cramps in my uterus. Sometimes i also have shooting pains. I plan to ask my dr about this at my next appointment but just wanted to find out if anyone else has the same thing.
