Dominant follicle always on same side?

Has anyone else experienced the dominant follicle being on the same side every time? 
Went to RE today for monitoring for my trigger shot, and found one huge follicle (26mm) and many smaller ones (14mm being the next biggest). RE did the trigger shot, but I am super disappointed/frustrated because the 26mm follicle is on my right side (where my tube is possibly blocked) and the 14mm (which is on the left and confirmed to be functioning) is likely too small to be mature. This is what happened to me last month as well. Would it make sense to talk to my doctor about switching up medications/days to try to get a different result?

According to my RE, it’s a flip of the coin. Most women rotate each month, but it’s not precise. For meds, sometimes one ovary can be more responsive - or at least responsive faster. This happened to me last month. We were going to do IUI with Letrozole. My first ultrasound my right side (my open side) had a 10mm follicle. The next check up, my blocked side took over and had one that was 20mm. The right side only grew to 13.5mm. So we cancelled the IUI. 
I spoke to her over the phone a few days later to regroup and asked about next steps due to the blocked side. She recommended injectibles as those are stronger and will get both sides going. This cycle we tried that. Initially both sides got going and were even. Day of the trigger, the blocked side took over again - had 3 follicles at 18mm. Open side had one 18mm and one 13.5mm. So we went through with the IUI last Wednesday since we did have one on the open side. The goal for next time should this cycle fail is hopefully to get maybe one more on the open side. But she said it’s hard to guarantee. Because you’re not using meds like in an egg retrieval where it can keep your body from ovulating while the others catch up, you still have to trigger once the biggest one gets to a certain point, regardless of side. 
You may want to look in to injectibles. For me, while more expensive, I actually had fewer side effects than the Letrozole. So that was more pleasant.

I had my 3rd follicle Scan yesterday and had 18mm on one side and 19mm on the other. The had said in my 1st and 2nd scans that my right ovary was dominant this month, so I guess it can change. Mine evened out anyway, so that could happen to you too!

I just came back from my follicle scan, the left is 17 and the right is 14. I’m in the same situation my left side might be blocked according to the HSG I did two years ago. So I don’t even think a trigger shot will help me at this point. Unless I’m doing IUI or IVF which I don’t have the money for. Any advice on which Fertility drug is better for more follicles? I am currently on 100 Clomid and this is my first cycle.

I don’t think taking the medication on a different day would affect which side you ovulate from. Hopefully next cycle you ovulate from the other side. Otherwise I’d consider IVF
