I actually had the talk with my parents. I lead it, I initiated it. I went from chubby, short and flat to a full C, and grew a foot and a half in 6 months. I was 6.

I had my 1st period at 9 and then I was formally diagnosed with PCOS at 13. So I was left with peer reviewed articles, journals and research papers. At one point my mother slapped me and screamed at me for hours when I explained to her that my PCOS wasn't being managed properly and I'd stopped ovulating. And this new birth control was designed to help me make eggs.

It's never too early to talk about age appropriate sexual education!

Even now my mother still gets livid that I'm ok with talking about reproductive organs.

I was very very young. Like throughout my childhood it was a topic we talked about from a kiddie picture book. (Menstruation and pregnancy, not sex)

I've never had the full talk. We talked about puberty and where baby's come from when I was 9. That was it. I had to figure everything out on my own either from school or from friends. But also 6 and 7 seem to young to tell them about this stuff. Like hinting at puberty at thag age is fine but in not sure I would teach about sex that young.
