Could this be labor?

I’m 36 weeks but showing signs of labor according to my doctor. He did a membrane sweep this morning at 11am. It’s now 2pm and I’m contracting pretty strong but they’re not very regular. He said I was 3cm and 70% effaced. Could this mean baby is coming?

I had a membrane sweep done and it sent me right into early labor. Ended up admitted to L&D by the end of the night and had my daughter the next day. So it’s possible you could be

Why have you had a membrane sweep at 36 weeks? I had one at 40 weeks and started early labour the same night I gave birth3 days later
