Just venting

I'm just so frustrated about my son's eating. I'm literally just laying on the couch crying about it like a baby (I'm also pregnant so hormones could be contributing to the dramatics). I just don't understand why he won't touch any new foods?!

I've done the feeding littles toddler course. Spent $60, worked the steps, tried to be positive. Months later, he still will only eat his familiar foods. Even some of his familiar foods he won't even touch anymore. Grapes he chews and spits out. Strawberries are a no go anymore. I just am so confused at the kids who eat french fries and chicken nuggets or literally anything their parents give them. My kid would never even dream of that. My sister in law sends me pics of her one year old eating steak and pasta and literally anything, like wth!!

I feel like my kid is going to live on peanut butter, crackers, yogurt, and bananas for his whole life 😭

I know those aren't unhealthy foods it's just so frustrating having a picky eater. I give him one cup of milk in the morning so I know he's not full. The rest of the time it's water. He's healthy and weighs 30 lbs so the kids not starving either. I just needed to vent bc I'm at my wit's end.😔

Update: y'all it's always been a struggle. From when I first started feeding him he choked and gagged on basically anything. I finally found foods he would eat and now he's just spitting them out. I mean I guess we will just live off milk and bananas. Im just worried it's like some sort of oral problem... We go to the doc at the end of the month and I'm going to have him check his mouth out.
