Looking at getting an intrauterine device, what are your experiences?

I had one for 3 years. That thing was the devil lol. Made my periods longer, heavier and cramps were worse too. Also I never ever smell down there but when I got that crap I started smelling. I washed like crazy, I did everything I could but it made me smell. Also it would poke my husband every time we had sex, OB trimmed it and it still poked him and it would hurt me during certain positions. Finally one day I had enough and looked up how to remove it and I did it all by myself. It didn't hurt. After removing it everything went back to normal. Good luck with yours!

Yes I had one..  It was painful to get put in bc I've never had kids, it took a few months to adjust, but once in and adjusted..  Best thing in the world. You never have to worry about anything. I only got mine out bc I'm ttc.
