Getting married in courthouse

Okay so me and my fiancé are getting married this week. We have a 12 week old so we aren’t going to do an actual wedding. We are just going to do the paperwork. Do you have to do the whole “i do” in the court room with a judge or can you just do paperwork?

Also, don’t judge us for this. We both don’t have our moms and my siblings live hours away (didn’t even come for my sons birth) so I’d rather not do a family thing where people come to watch. Also, my fiancé gets nervous in crowds.

Did you do it? How did it go? We already talked to the people up there and they told us what we needed. She said there was a woman there who could do the ceremony in the court house but she didn’t say if we had to do that or if it was an option.
