Postpartum bowls...... warning potty talk

The beast that no one talks about... a week ago I had my first c section. After passing gas and even having my first BM in the hospital I thought I got lucky and avoided all those painful issues I’d heard about.

Nope, I just had to pull my one week old off my chest while nursing because the abdominal pain was so bad I was physically crying out and couldn’t hold him. There are no words for what just happened but I felt like I needed another epidural just to go to the bathroom.

I’m still on hydrocodone so my dr has me taking gas x and colace but the last 24 hours have been rough. My incision hurts and I’m exhausted.

Anyone else out there experiencing the same stuff? When does it get better? Any advice to survive?
