If you’re driving 8 hours for a vacation, would you rather start driving at 4am or 8am?

Depends where I’m going and what day. I would want to leave at whatever time would be the best to avoid rush hour in a city. If it’s a weekend, Id rather start early.

Me personally I would not enjoy the first day of the vacation anyway if I had been up since 4am because I’d be exhausted and feel like crap, so I’d rather just leave at 8 🤷🏻‍♀️

I use to drive to San Francisco every month and I’ll leave early as possible! Like 5A so I can be there 11A 🙂

As early as possible.
Avoid traffic, don’t waste the day, hopefully kids sleep sit he whining is reduced, etc. 
We try to leave super early, drive until breakfast time and stop to grab a bite/break then carry on. 
I like to pack as much as possible the night before and just get up and go. 
My dad was a long distance driver when I was a kid so every vacation we ever took he would get up around midnight, throw us kids in the car and we’d wake up for breakfast wherever we were going. He’d sometimes nap that afternoon while my mom unpacked stuff and we played. It was perfect.
