Clark is here!
So excited my little man is here!

My OB sent me to the hospital at 38w1d for hyper tension. Since it was the second time in a week that my blood pressure was high, they decided to induce. The contractions were way worse than I expected, but I also have a terrible pain tolerance. They were coming every 30 seconds but I was only 2cm dilated. I asked for the epidural early because I just couldn’t handle the pain anymore. During and after the epidural, the baby’s heart rate kept dropping so they called my doctor in. Doctor decided to break my water for me and insert a fetal monitor vaginally. When they did this, I lost a lot of blood so they decided to do an emergency c section. I have never been more terrified in my life, not because of the c section but I was so afraid of losing him. The c section went great and as soon as I heard him crying it was the biggest relief and I knew he was ok. I was so emotionally exhausted when it was over and they took him back that I fell asleep while they were stitching me up.
It was so scary and nothing like I expected but he’s healthy so I’m happy. Now just praying these baby blues don’t last very long because they’re already full swing. Any suggestions on dealing with that are welcomed!
