So my baby girl is now 3 months old. My family is obsessed with her, which I love. They see her weekly (not just grandparents or great grandparents, aunts and uncles too) They call and check on her and constantly ask for pictures. They were all there at the hospital after she was born and even weeks after she came home. Needless to say, she is very loved. Then there's my husband's mother. She doesn't call, doesn't really check on her, doesn't come see her. She's seen her 6 times. Doesn't ask for pictures. I don't like taking my baby to her house because her boyfriend smokes. I've taken her there once. She made a comment about how it would be so much easier for us to come visit her instead of her coming to our house. She has a vehicle and can drive. She's only 55 and in good health so that isn't the reason. We also only live 25 minutes away. I guess she doesn't realize how much work it is to plan an outting with a baby. I have to account for diapers, formula, clothes if needed. I feel like I'm the one having to make the effort for my daughter to have a relationship with her grandmother. Am I wrong?
