How come my gestational age changed for my baby?

I had an ultrasound done and they said I’m a week more pregnant than I thought I was. How is that even possible if I know the exact start date of my last period ? I always log my period start and finish dates , hows it even possible ? I thought they went off of the start of your last period ? My due date moved from May 3rd to April 27th .

You probably ovulated earlier.

It’s just an estimate they changed my due date 3 times. I look at it like this baby will come when it come. Good Luck and Congrats 😊

It's all just an estimation. Based on my last period my first ultrasound was thought to be 12 weeks but I was only measuring 8 weeks

It happens, often. Most doctors won't change it if it's just a week difference, some will.

Mine did too. My due date moved from Sept 27 to Sept 20 (tomorrow) at my 12 week scan. I don’t get it either bc im pretty sure I didn’t ovulate early. Still no sign of this baby, so I am thinking sept 27 is more accurate!
