I just fell out of love. There wasn’t any reason to our break I just wasn’t feeling in love, sexually attracted to him anymore. We agreed to be friends.

It’s usually fine until one of you gets into a new relationship and your new partner doesn’t want you being friends with your ex anymore

If you decided on the breakup, I would give him space to decide how to move forward. Trying to be friends soon after a break is hard because it can give false hope to the one that got dumped. And don’t sleep together, that throws more mixed signals.
For the most part, unless you were friends before being romantically being involved, it most likely won’t work.

I stayed friends with my ex and it was fine for about 6 months and then we went out one day (we used to go to the cinema ect a lot as friends) and he sexually assaulted me in the car on the way home. Since that point I cut him off completely and I'll probably never be friends with an ex again!

Personally I would not be okay with my SO bring friends with his ex (we actually have tried this many moons ago)and in my opinion girls are worse than men when it comes to playing "dirty".

I guess it depends on the people involved.  Personally,  I don't see the purpose of being friends but many people do it so yes, it's possible.  To each their own.
