Multiples due date adjustment

Was your due date changed when you found out you were pregnant with multiples? My doctor hasn’t changed mine.. yet? My original estimated due date is March 10th 2020, then we found out we were pregnant with mono/di identical twins. Everything I’ve read and have been told is with twins they usually don’t let you go past 36-38 weeks. I understand my doctor just wants to keep them in as long as possible, but isn’t going past 38 weeks a risk as well? Just curious, I’m a first time mom in general let alone twins.. lol
