Is spotting 12 days before period normal

I'm not really spotting but I noticed some light pink in my discharge and I had cramps in the middle of the night but that usually happens so it's not an abnormal thing. My boyfriend has been finishing inside me a lot but I'm on the depo shot and the pill at the same time to help stop my periods and I've been on it for over a year. I've never gotten pregnant on it. It could be because I don't take the pill at the same exact time everyday because it's only to stop the periods and not to prevent pregnancy since the depo shot does this. Just wondering if it's normal or if I should be worried of pregnancy.
