Baby’s first cold - any tips??

Hey ladies! 
We have been lucky enough that our baby hasn’t been sick yet. But today her nose is like a faucet. She’s in great spirits and is drinking a good amount of water. 
I don’t plan on taking her in unless she takes a turn and I don’t feel comfortable until I get a doctor’s opinion. So far she seems good, just that runny nose. 
Any tips for me? What worked well for you all? Humidifier? What else?

I always use saline drops multipe times a day when my baby has a runny nose. And then use the nose frida to suck the snot out. It helps to keep their nose clear, so they can breathe, eat and sleep better. Plus it prevents the cold from spreading to their ears.

She woke up a few times throughout the night to cough or readjust. I’ve done saline drops and the nose frida and I think that helped quite a bit! Will keep on doing that! Thanks ladies!

My baby got sick over night with fever and has this phlegm that wont go away. Have him albuterol this morning because he was having a hard time breathing. Tried vicks and motrin. Calling his doctor now.

My little girl just started with a cold (runny nose) today to she currently wide awake at 12.30am and has woken up every hour since bedtime at 7pm. 😴 there isn’t much you can do really just the normal things like you mentioned, it’s just something they have to ride out. Obviously you know your own baby hun, if something doesn’t feel right or if baby not feeding/ has a fever that won’t go down then take the doctors. Other then that just lots of cuddles and be prepared for hardly any sleep. 😊
