Safe sex?

Is it safe to have sex while being on top? I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and was just wondering. I have a doctors appointment this Thursday and was going to ask at my check up.

If you’ve had no other reasons to not have sex during pregnancy you’re fine.

Sex is considered safe during all three trimesters of a normal, low risk pregnancy. Being on top usually ends up being more comfortable for a lot of women later on, as your belly grows. Definitely check with your doctor to make sure sex is safe for you personally, but for most women, it’s fine as long as it feels good for you. 🙂

I wouldn’t risk it but that’s just me. When was your last scan? Have you checked your cervix through imaging? If you have a shortened cervix it could start contractions etc.
