Suggestions for acid reflux?
I'm only 13 weeks and acid reflux is driving me nuts. It's keeping me up at night, and it's bad even if I haven't eaten in hours. Ive tried all the advice I can find (anything from ginger to propped pillow, smaller portions to Tums and Pepcid... and I'd prefer to treat homeopathic anyhow.)
I used to have this problem when I was younger, and needed meds til I cut out meat and dairy from my diet. I'm not crazy about the idea of being vegan while pregnant though, especially when I'm craving meat and dairy. Cutting back on carbs has helped - it seems worse when I eat bread or rice.
I've added a lot of probiotic foods to my diet which seems to help some days (saurkraut, kimchi, pickles, yogurt etc). Papaya pills don't really work. I'm drinking kombucha, but I am concerned it has an alcohol content (which is inconsistent if it's home brew).
Any other ideas/suggestions?
