I’m new to this!!

I need some help...

First off, I received my BFP this weekend and will be 4 weeks on Thursday.

I called a couple doctors offices today to see what the next steps are and the first office told me I would come in for paperwork and set up my first appointment for 10-12 weeks...

The second place I called said I would be seen by a nurse for about an hour and then a provider for about 15 minutes after that... and that wouldn’t be until 8-10 weeks

Is it crazy that they don’t confirm pregnancy with blood tests prior to that? I thought that was something that was done at like 6 weeks but, I’ve never been pregnant so I just don’t even know what the norm is..

I’m also considered high risk because of an antibody in my blood that could lead to issues with the babies heart... I just feel like I should be seen earlier but, again I have no clue because I have never been in this position before...

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
