Breastmilk supply decreasing???

Question

So we just came back from the 6mo check up. My lo gained only 0.300kg instead of 0.600 this month. Doctor said my breastmilk supply is decreasing and told me to give her formula at night. We also started solids 10 days ago (she tries everything but she eats very little so far). 
These last few weeks have been really tough and im a bit stressed.
What is your experience, could it be true? 
Do you think i have chances to get back to my normal supply?

Probably not when they hit new milestones their bodies metabolize things faster and so if she just started sitting, scooting, crawling, pulling up or any other new movements her body is just using everything... if she isn’t acting hungry after feeds then you are fine. Mine sometimes didn’t gain at all in 2 months and she was fine she is 3 now and healthy

It’s actually probably the fact that you started solids that caused her to gain less.  They don’t absorb a whole lot of solids at first and theyre not nearly as high in fat and calories as breastmilk.  If she’s still gaining (even slowly) and has plenty of wet diapers, not cluster feeding for more than a few days at a time, there’s no real reason to supplement.  If you’re concerned, I’d cut back a bit on the solid foods and see if her growth picks back up.  It’s possible that she’s more awake and active though and it’s also normal for a drop off in growth then.

Some paediatricians have actually no idea how breastfeeding works so I would be cautious. Which percentile does she measure? Is she gaining (you said she was), making wet and dirty diapers? Does she seem content after nursing?
It's utterly normal for your supply to drop one you start solids. It changes the enzymes in baby's saliva and tells your breast to reduce production. This way it self regulates as your baby starts to get more and more calories from solids. This is normal and wanted.
Every bottle of formula your baby gets will further decrease your supply.
If you don't want to supplement, ask your paed to wait another month and see how much she'll gain (only if she's now at a healthy weight for her age by percentile) Or go see another paediatrician and ask them their opinion.
