When are you planning on telling family/friends/social media?

I’m 5 weeks and I’ve told my parents and select friends already. Not sure when I’m going to tell everyone else. 
When do you think it’s “safe” to tell people?

Hello! We are due in May too and only hubby knows. I will tell once we have the first ultrasound to see if it’s growing okay and heart beating.

My thoughts have always been if I want the support should something happen to the pregnancy then I want them to know when I am pregnant. Meaning I’ll tell certain people, those I am close with and then the rest can wait. This is coming from someone who has suffered through 3 miscarriages.

My rationale, if I would tell them any bad news, might as well tell them the good news! Maybe this isn’t a great way to think about it, but I’ve had 2 miscarriages and for both pregnancies tried to wait to tell certain people — it’s beyond difficult telling someone the bad news, but it’s awkward and difficult telling others “btw I WAS pregnant, but miscarried.” 
I just found out Saturday we’re pregnant again (!!!!!!!!) and told our immediate families, my grandpa, my best friend, and a few coworkers. Honestly it’s a personal choice, everyone is different and doing it this way might not be right for everyone, so do whatever feels right to you!

At the moment only my husband knows. We are waiting until our 12 week scan before we tell family and friends
