When should you start setting up the nursery?

My husband and his mom don’t think we should get a crib or anything until basically the month of or about a month before my due date. I’m a planner and I like to start preparing a little in advance maybe 2 months before my due date but neither of them think there’s any point to it. My point for it is it helps me to relax honestly so that’s one less thing to worry about and because I don’t want to spend all of that money on the nursery all at once and so soon to having our baby. Opinions?

You do it when YOU want too! It’s your baby and you know best! I got a crib at 4 months pregnant 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not ashamed that I’m very prepared 😊

I got things over the span of my pregnancy, but I did a huge buy when I found out what I was having at 16 weeks. I think it is different with every person when they want to buy stuff and get things set up

I got pretty much everything major by myself when I was 4 months pregnant.  Cause, my man is always busy with work and I want to get it all settled before my tummy is getting too big and exhausted.
Plus, you have more time to do research and shop for bargain.

You start preparing whenever you feel like it! We’ve been adding to Clarke’s room little by little since March! There really isn’t a time table for these things, you should just make sure to have it done before baby arrives!!

Do what makes you feel comfortable. I am  in my 16th week and next month I plan on buying the crib and setting it up so I don’t have to do it when I am huge and in pain lol

Whenever you want to. Also depends how much you have to do. We’ve been working on mine for a few weeks and I’m 17 weeks because we had to tear down walls and get new carpet and paint and a few other things. I also wouldn’t want to be huge and uncomfortable trying to set up a crib or anything else so I’m definitely gonna have it all done before then but that’s just me and everyone is different.

13 wks i bought all the nursery furniture ( crib, changing table, dresser, rocking chair, mattress and bedding & decor) i was so excited lol

its an italian thing to put the crib /bassinet up two weeks before you’re due date , it’s good luck . that’s what i did .
