If you used the pack n play bassinet for your previous babes when they were newborns did they like it/sleep well in it?

I have the pack n play set up in our room right now to use with baby while they are a newborn 0-3 months (with bassinet insert) and I want to know how it worked for any of you. The mattress pad it comes with seems a little uncomfortable/unstable to me but I’m not sure what my expectations for a bassinet should be 🤷🏼‍♀️ thanks!

We also swaddled with white noise. Baby slept pretty good that way.

If you do use it I would suggest a portable crib size matress. It is very uncomfortable and the hardness of the pad itself may cause the back of the head hairloss to be worse than the norm.

I had the attachable bassinet thing and my daughter slept in it until she was about 3 months. I liked it cause if i needed to, I could pop it out and move it around the house. I also liked the attachment that you could put on it and it’s like 6 inches deep and you just move the mattress pad from the bottom into it and it was like the first level of a crib. I usually set the boppy in it with a blanket and did house chores.

I will be buying a mattress to go over the thin hard pack and play one that comes in it.  It is hard!

We had a bad heartburn baby and she slept in pack and play without any issue.  She slept good at night which made diagnosis harder ironically. 
No extra pillows or padding.  Just swaddle (well under arm swaddling, she'd wake herself up to free her arms,  dr said to move to under armpits if the startle reflex didn't bother her - it didn't).

My daughter hated it but that was bc she had reflux so we switched her to a rocker that sat her up more! Planning on trying the pack n play again for this baby 😊

My son has been using it since birth lol. And we’re using it again for our second 😊 We never bothered getting a crib lol
