I was asked how I managed to get pregnant

This woman that I’ve known for near 10 years but are still strangers found out I was pregnant. She asked me if she can ask me some personal question i said sure. Shes in her mid 30s or 40s. I’m assuming she has pcos bc of what little I know of her such as morbidly obese, facial hair including neck hair and irregular periods. She asked me how I got pregnant. Bc she’s afraid she will never get pregnant. I told her I thought the same after 6 years trying and having the doctors tell me i had pcos and so many cysts that it would be extremely difficult for me to ever conceive. I forgot to tell her I was misdiagnosed bc the ultrasound tech that determined due date told me I had zero cysts. And my new doctor told me pcos actually had nothing to do with cysts surprisingly.

Were your period irregular. “Yes”. Her are too.

I told her I also drank, did drugs, smoked but quit everything months before I ever got pregnant.

She said she doesn’t drink but does smoke.

She said she wonders if her weight was a factor. I told her I lost weight and was at while not my goal weight still a happy weight.

She’s considering losing weight and cutting off smoking to help increase her chances at pregnancy.

Sobriety, weight loss, and general increased happiness and relaxation due to my baby daddy is what helped me get pregnant after being told o wouldn’t ever. Now I’m curious what helped everyone else naturally conceive after so many years of struggling
