Were both bride and grooms parents at the wedding?

My fiance isn't inviting his mother to the wedding because she has been using his social security number to pay bills (among other reasons). His father chose not to come, but he only recently met him 3 years ago, so it wasn't really expected. I feel terrible because the only family members he has coming are his brother and sister in law. The entire wedding will be mostly my family. I hate that his family is so lousy.

It's all about who he wants there to celebrate the day, typically all parents attend but it sounds like his parents haven't supported him any other time so he may feel they shouldn't be there on a day that is supposed to be happy....weddings are stressful enough without having people there that don't have your best interest in mind.

I had all four of my parents there and he had both his parents there.
That was five years ago, though,  and I can't say if that would still be the case today. 
I generally have a lousy family and so does my husband so I sympathize with your husband. Just have your family adopt him in. 
Blood isn't everything.

Both parents came, but they are all still happily married, and both families are on good terms.

Thats why we didnt have a big wedding. We got married in vegas. 
But my husband doesnt really talk to his family besides his dad and brother, he didnt even tell his mom we got married until we got back which i didnt think was right but that was his call. And my dad wouldnt have came bc he doesnt get along with mom 😶 so basically it wouldve just been my moms side of the family there. 
But if he doesnt get along with his parents why would he invite them? I dont see anythjng wrong with not inviting ppl you dont get along with or dont talk to.

I'm not married yet but my partners dad passed away when he was young and I dont have anything to do with my dad so it will just be our mums x

It sounds like there are good reasons for his parents not to be there. I'm fortunate to have very supportive family and in-laws.

My dad isn't invited...
He hasn't made an effort to be in my life for the past 11 years. The last time I saw him (9 years ago) he was so drunk and high that he didn't know who I was. I was 11 at the time...that was enough to discourage me from trying to keep him in my life. 
But my mom will be there, and both of my fiance's parents will be there. 
He'll probably have more family there than I will. But that's ok, his family is my family :)

Both my parents came, but only my husbands mother. His father has been out of the picture for 16 years so he wasn't invited.

Not married yet but getting married and I don't have much family that's going to come. Just my sister and her baby and husband and his mom and sister which arnt really my family. My mother and 4 friends. My dad died before I was born and I don't know any of his family, I want my mother to walk me down the aisle, id love that and i think she would to. My soon to be husband has a huge family on his mom and dad's side that I know will for sure all be coming... When I think about it it does make me extremely sad I don't have anyone and I've decided to do all the seating together no bride or grooms side, simply because I don't want to be reminded I have hardly anyone there and I also don't want to embarrassment of everyone else realizing I don't either...when its supposed to be the best day of my life. A little different than. What your dealing with but hope it helps you.

All 4 parents went his brother and sisters and like 4 cousins. While my whole gang went. His side didn't stay too long ate dinner did their dances we cut the cake early and they left right after. While my whole brood of family and friends stayed till late. Wedding of 500 guests. Everyone is different.
