Missed Miscarriage

I had my u/s today at what was supposed to be 9 weeks only to find out the baby stopped growing about a week or so ago. There was no heartbeat. The doctor said to digest everything and suggested surgery to remove everything. I am devastated and am still crying. Did any of you have it and what steps did you take? Thank you!
