Baby fever 😫 husband not on the same page as me though

Who all has baby fever like me?!

My first is 13 months old today and I’m struggling with baby fever really bad suddenly!

My husband and I had planned to start trying for our second when my son was a year but decided to hold off due to finances.

We are in a “good” place financially but my husband wants us to be in a “great” place before we have the next one, which I totally understand but don’t totally agree with (maybe it’s my hormones though 🤣).

I feel like we could handle two with our current financial situation and that we should at least start trying but my husband wants to wait, but hasn’t given me a timeline as to how long... he has this goal in mind for how much income he wants us to have coming in before we have a second one but who’s to say we will ever reach that goal ??

However, he has suddenly been put up for a promotion at work that would come with a pay increase so he wants to see if he gets that or not, (which is responsible of him and I’m just being impatient maybe?) but I also feel like we can handle two and should at least start trying because sometimes it takes a while.

Basically we aren’t on the same page but I don’t want it to become a sour subject to him so I’ve just been quiet about it for the last month or so... should I just wait and see if anything happens with this promotion he’s excited about ?

I know he definitely wants more kids but we aren’t on the same page about when. He just tells me that I need to be “flexible” with timing ??? But I’m almost 29, (and that’s not old at all I know) but I mean the clock is starting to tick I feel bc we always said we wanted 3-4 kids, and I want my kids to be close in age (which is what my husband said he always wanted too).
