Do you boil the water??

Question

I babysit for this lady and she doesn't boil the water or serialize the water. She just uses water from the sink. It got me thinking, is that normal? Or am I only one of the few weirdos that boils water and setialize everything??

Lolz there seems to be a bit of confusion. I'm not asking if you boil water to drink, I'm asking if you boil water to make a baby's bottle.

Do you mean for drinking? I do that - its a waste for me to buy bottles water when the tap is a-ok. I mean, sure sometimes (like when road construction is being done nearby) it may not be safe to drink without boiling, but the town always notifies us if that's the case, and for how long. Nine times out of ten, town tap water is perfectly fine to drink straight out!

I only boil water if the city put out a notice to do so. And prior to this place, we had well water and never boiled that either. I think it's a little weird to boil water to drink, and I've never known anyone around here to do that.

You should get one of the Brita water pitchers cause if she has a state person going through there is it against state policy to boil water for bottles!! She could get fined if she is caught doing that.. So maybe get her one of the Brita pitchers to filter the tap water. That's what we used at the daycare I used to work at
