How bad is it?? And does it work??

They inject dye into your cervix and take x rays at the same to see if the dye spills out of your tubes to ensure that they are open. It wasn't that bad for me honestly. Mild cramping when they injected the dye but it only lasts a couple minutes. I found out my left tube was blocked. My doctor started me on clomid a couple months later and I got my bfp the first round. Just try to relax and take some strong Tylenol about an hour beforehand. Good luck!

Hsg procedure  is just to see how patent your tubes are. Dye will be injected into your uterus through  the cervix and will split out through  the tubes if it's open. I had mine last month not painful at all I took 2 motrin before procedure  and mine tubes are open. The procedure took 5 min. Just relax and hope postive.
