Because you are not pregnant!... Pregnancy is NOT the only cause to missed periods.

Yes, but if you've already missed 2 periods, then they should be able to catch it on a blood test, and if you're not pregnant they can give you medicine to jump start your period

I'd go to the doc just to make sure everything is ok. I have a sister who tested negative and didn't have her period until 5 months. Everyone is different so that might be it or it might be stress. You never know. But good luck :)

That's what happened to me. Then I got a blood test that was negative... Chalked it up to being stressed about my wedding which was in the middle of those 2 months...

And you're not on any birth control pills or such? I missed 2 or 3 in a row right before I went off the pill.

There are different factors for not getting a period, and pregnancy isn't the only one. Stress is a huge factor, it could also be your hormones being out of whack, amongst many other common issues.

I have had this problem plenty of times. They can do a blood HCG test first to rule out pregnancy and then give you a progesterone supplement to start your period. (I've done it a couple of times now). Period will usually start within a week of taking the last progesterone supplement pill. Good luck!
